‘5 days for you’

A short mindfulness course which will consist of a daily activity, a short guided meditation and a daily affirmation.

You may like to use a notebook to log your activities, thoughts and affirmations but this isn’t essential. If you have any questions, thoughts or feedback please let me know.

Meditating in Nature
Day 1

The theme is ‘It’s ok to be vulnerable’

Today’s activity is to think about and tell someone how you actually feel. We’re so used to just saying we are fine when really there is more going on in our heads. When we name our feelings they cease to have control over us. Try to name your feelings today and if you can tell someone else or at least say your feeling out loud to yourself and write it down.

 

Today’s affirmation: Today I find strength in my vulnerability 💕

Day 2

The theme today is ‘putting yourself first’ 🥰

Do something for yourself today. Being Self-caring is not the same as being selfish. Looking after yourself is essential. It helps you to be more resilient, more productive and generally better able to cope with what life brings.
Spend sometime today thinking about what you would like to do just for you and maybe what you don’t want to do too. Write a list. Then choose one thing from the list and do that today. Today it’s ok to put your needs above the needs of others.

 

The affirmation today is ‘I deserve to have my needs met’ 🙏

Day 2 Putting yourself first

Day 3

Today’s theme is ‘feeling empathy’


Sometimes we can be swamped by our feelings of empathy. Rather than being overwhelmed by your feelings try to allow them to wash over you. Don’t fight your feelings, observe them and name them. You May then notice that  feelings are actually far more fluid than you thought. They come and go, they are transient not permanent. It’s more comfortable to feel these feelings when you can detach from them in this way.

Today’s affirmation is: ‘I am a feeling, loving human being’ 🙏

Day 3 feeling Empathy

The theme today is ‘It’s ok to just Be´


Most people get into the habit of defining their worth by what they do. What work, what hobbies, what activities. We often confuse being busy with being productive and linking this to our sense of self-worth.
Today deliberately shift your consciousness from ‘doing’ to ‘being’. Don’t strive to be busy or to do many tasks. Instead consciously choose to just ‘be’.... be still, be quiet, be peaceful. Notice mindfully your senses, smells, sights, sounds, feelings. The clue is in the title; we are ‘human beings’ not ‘human doings’.

 

Today’s affirmation is: ‘I am enough in this moment’ 🙏

Day 4 just Being

Last day, hope you’ve been enjoying your journey and that you have gained something helpful and positive from the process 😊


The theme today is Loving yourself 💕

This is both the simplest and the hardest task. Some people’s core beliefs and internal chat sabotage their ability to self-love.
Loving yourself can be thought of as big-headed or egotistical. It’s time to change any negative thoughts and treat yourself with the same loving kindness you would treat others with. You deserve to be loved. Love yourself and others will love you too. 
Make a list of everything you love about yourself and include what others love about you too.

The affirmation today is: ‘I love and approve of myself’ 💕


This is the most useful affirmation so far and my personal ‘go-to’ affirmation for most situations. Definitely write this one down and memorise it for all time 🥰
